Blackman Builders receive certificates and pins

At their most recent meeting, the Blackman Middle School Builders Club received membership cards, certificates and pins.  The students also worked on a Thanksgiving fundraising project.  The club will be selling “turkey feathers” to students at the school.  The students who buy the feathers can put them on any staff members “turkey” outside of their classroom.  The teacher with the most feathers will have to dress up like a turkey before Thanksgiving break!  The money raised will benefit the local food bank. Candle Wishes party a success

The MTSU Circle K, with the help of the LaVergne Key Club and St. Edward Builders Club, put on an awesome party for more than 60 birthday children and their families tonight at Belle Aire Baptist Church.  Jerod from Circle K was a crowd favorite by making home made “Goo” for the kids!  Sophie, Russ, Rachel and Catherine represented the Builders Club by running the games, while the Key Clubbers did a great job serving all of the guests!  Enjoy the photos!PA300109

Siegel Key Club off to strong start

Club hears from Red Cross and presents plaque

At least weeks meeting we heard from Beth Ferguson with the American Red Cross.  Steve Fuchcar also presented past-president Roger Hudson with his “official” plaque and a nice coupon and gift card to Shoneys!

Blackman Builders Club visits nursing home

Members of the Blackman Builders Club created Halloween gift boxes for residents at the County Nursing Home.  Builders Club members Paxton Cooke and Jack van Der Werf along with advisor Autumn Wright visited with residents at the nursing home and distributed the boxes. Lelan Statom addresses club

Channel 5 Meteorologist and Talk of the Town Co-Host Lelan Statom visited our club Wednesday.  Statom addressed a full house of Kiwanians and guests about broadcast journalism and meteorology.  Our members enjoyed visiting with him and our president Theresa was able to get in a “Huuuump Day” comment as she presented him with a Kiwanis signed T-shirt and necktie. Club holds inductions and gives award

Blackman Builders Club Serves United Way

The Blackman Builders Club has a new advisor this year! Art teacher Autumn Wright will be leading the club this year. They held their first meeting last week and got off to a great start by doing service with the United Way. They also prepared for their upcoming Trick or Treat for Unicef project.  They have a busy schedule for the coming months which includes officers elections and a project for the county nursing home.
