Members of our club spent May 14th out at McKnight Park showing our appreciation for the players and their families that play in our league. We gave away Kiwanis swag, popcorn, had half priced concessions and gave out prizes for our top cookie dough sellers! Enjoy the pics!!! Thanks to everyone who was involved!
Candle Wishes fundraiser a success
March 8, 2010Our Kiwanis club sponsored a fundraiser in conjunctions with the Nashville Predators to benefit Candle Wishes. Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction raised around $2300 for the Rutherford County-based charity.

After Christmas regift party gets dirty

Holloway gets Santa visit
December 10, 2009Our club hosted our annual Holloway Harbor Christmas Party today. With 10 babies in the childcare center, we provided food, gifts, diapers and a donation to the program which we have supported for decades. Enjoy the photos!
Candle Wishes party a success
December 10, 2009Saturday, Dec. 5 the Kiwanis Family sponsored the Candle Wishes Dec./Jan. birthday party. With close to 400 guests, 60 volunteers a choir of 30 and their parents, the event went off like clockwork! Thanks so much to everyone who make the event run so smoothly! Enjoy the photos album!
K-Family plants trees on Greenway
November 23, 2009Members of our club joined members from the Oakland Key Club, Blackman Builders Club and parents to help plant trees along the Greenway Saturday in the area cleared earlier this year by devastating tornados.

Veteran’s Day speaker on the mark
November 12, 2009This Veteran’s Day our club welcomed MTSU Dr. Derek Frisby, assistant professor of history, as our speaker. Frisby talked about the completion of and this Saturday’s dedication of the MTSU Veteran’s Memorial which our club purchased three “bricks” for. Frisby also shared photos and stories from his recent “research” trip to the Pacific.

Brian Hercules addresses club
November 5, 2009New United Way President, Brian Hercules, spoke to our club at today’s meeting. He talked a little bit about his past involvement with the United Way and where he hopes to take it from here. He also shared some of the fundraising goals for the organization for this year. President Theresa presented Brian with a Kiwanis pen…. and a membership packet of course…
