Kiwanis Day at the park a home run

Members of our club spent May 14th out at McKnight Park showing our appreciation for the players and their families that play in our league.  We gave away Kiwanis swag, popcorn, had half priced concessions and gave out prizes for our top cookie dough sellers!  Enjoy the pics!!! Candle Wishes fundraiser a success

Our Kiwanis club sponsored a fundraiser in conjunctions with the Nashville Predators to benefit Candle Wishes.  Proceeds from ticket sales and a silent auction raised around $2300 for the Rutherford County-based charity.

Preds game to support Candle Wishes

Our annual Kiwanis Predators’ day to support Candle Wishes is THIS Sunday!  Please remember to visit www.nashvillepredators.com/kiwanis to purchase your tickets. $10 of each ticket sold will go straight to Candle Wishes.  We will also be holding a silent auction in a private room which we encourage everyone to attend!  We have some great items for you to bid on!

After Christmas regift party gets dirty

Our members enjoyed our annual regift/”Dirty Santa” party at last week’s meeting… It was nice, it was naughy… and it was down right dirty at times!  See the photos to follow the flow of events!  We had some great items this year that quickly hit their three steal limit!

Holloway gets Santa visit

Our club hosted our annual Holloway Harbor Christmas Party today.  With 10 babies in the childcare center, we provided food, gifts, diapers and a donation to the program which we have supported for decades.  Enjoy the photos!

Candle Wishes party a success

Saturday, Dec. 5 the Kiwanis Family sponsored the Candle Wishes Dec./Jan. birthday party. With close to 400 guests, 60 volunteers a choir of 30 and their parents, the event went off like clockwork!  Thanks so much to everyone who make the event run so smoothly!  Enjoy the photos album!

Brian Hercules addresses club

New United Way President, Brian Hercules, spoke to our club at today’s meeting.  He talked a little bit about his past involvement with the United Way and where he hopes to take it from here.  He also shared some of the fundraising goals for the organization for this year.  President Theresa presented Brian with a Kiwanis pen…. and a membership packet of course…

Candle Wishes party a success

The MTSU Circle K, with the help of the LaVergne Key Club and St. Edward Builders Club, put on an awesome party for more than 60 birthday children and their families tonight at Belle Aire Baptist Church.  Jerod from Circle K was a crowd favorite by making home made “Goo” for the kids!  Sophie, Russ, Rachel and Catherine represented the Builders Club by running the games, while the Key Clubbers did a great job serving all of the guests!  Enjoy the photos!

Membership Night at Ballpark

Thursday night our club held a membership drive at the ballpark in conjunction with our prize drawings for the top cookie dough sellers!  We gave away some great prizes to the girls and met some amazing people who we hope will join us at a meeting and as members of our great organization!  Enjoy our pictures from the event…
