At yesterday’s meeting, Blackman Builders Club members prepared for the blood drive which they are helping with Monday at their school. The kids also wrote Christmas cards to wounded soldiers and enjoyed some holiday snacks! It was also “Hat Day”, which was a school-wide fundraiser the club did to raise money for Heavenly Hats.
Our club hosted our annual Holloway Harbor Christmas Party today. With 10 babies in the childcare center, we provided food, gifts, diapers and a donation to the program which we have supported for decades. Enjoy the photos!
Saturday, Dec. 5 the Kiwanis Family sponsored the Candle Wishes Dec./Jan. birthday party. With close to 400 guests, 60 volunteers a choir of 30 and their parents, the event went off like clockwork! Thanks so much to everyone who make the event run so smoothly! Enjoy the photos album!
If you attended our meeting Wednesday, you heard Bruce Higdon speak about his work entertaining our service men and women overseas and his visits to the various military hospitals around the country. He gave me some information to pass on to all of you.
